I definitely have holiday blues right now!

I have just come back from Malta, after spending a few days there for my friends hen do.

The place is so nice! Although the beach near us was a pebble beach, it was still just as nice! A 30 minute bus ride takes you to another sandy beach which was also awesome!

The people are so so friendly and nice. The area of bugibba bay which we stayed in was full of retired folk, but it wasn’t that bad as the nightlife area was a thirty minute taxi ride away in the St Julians area. The nightlife there was awesome, all clubs are free to get in and most drinks were very cheap. There were a lot of younger people there as the age restriction is 17 to go clubbing.

There wasn’t much traditional food in our area, just the usual tourist stuff. But that didn’t really affect us. The peak season is apparently end of May til September. We missed the peak season but it was a good thing. All the beds at the pool and beach were empty!

All in all I had a great few days away. I definitely needed a break :)

Check out a few of my snaps here.

our hotel has a fish swimming pool :)

One of my very good friends is getting hitched this year, and what better way to celebrate her hen do than go abroad ;)

Seeing as I’m at home I was given the role of finding a decent place that was full of sun, sea and sand as well as it being relatively cheap. If you follow me on Twitter, you will know that finding anything within our budget was a nightmare. We tried to book ‘cheap’ flights with ryanair but they add numerous charges at the end of the transaction just for flights. Nightmare!!

Finally we booked Malta for 4 days in May. I have never been to Malta but most reviews and websites have said it’s usually hot at that time of the year. [Thank god for Google!!]

I can’t wait to go, it’s one of the few things I am actually looking forward to this year :D

In other Poonam news, I am still jobless and sorta getting irritated now.
