So today was the first day back at work after the so called holidays (even though I was in the office for a few days in between).

Everything was as it seemed, until I realised people were being called in to see the team leader one by one. I was hoping it was to do with bonuses as these are paid every 6 months. How wrong I was.

I saw my friend working away and then glanced a couple of hours later only to realise she wasn’t there. I’m very sure I heard another colleague take a call on one of this girl’s files and said ‘she no longer works with us.’ Urm WHAT. I found out she got made redundant today with immediate effect. She must have been in the office for all of 2 hours. I can’t believe it.

She had under a years service and she was made redundant. I can’t help but think about my job and my position. Is any job actually fully secure? Ever?

I just hope this doesn’t happen to me, my years service is completed in March 2011 :s

I know it’s been a long time since I last blogged, I thought I’d make the final blog of the year a special one

Well I haven’t been up to much, just avoiding most of the internet. I can’t seem to get back into twitter as much as I used to, I don’t have the energy to blog and a lot has been happening in my life too (most of which I won’t be putting on here .)

Where do I begin? This year has been awesome to say the least, so much has changed. From good to bad and bad to worse; things can only get better!

Let’s start as per my previous post at the start of the year-

* the first priority I had has been achieved. I managed to secure a job in a law firm, sorta, and actually liked it (at the start!) It is a stressful job BUT I love the friends I have made there. The work can be so stressful but its the friends and people around me that have helped me get through work. The fact that I got a promotion also helped.

* Holidays – I went to Malta and Barcelona this year. Definitely worth going and seeing. I didn’t manage to have a big holiday this year but there’s always next year

* Concerts – well this year has been amazing! I saw Rihanna, Lady GaGa and Jay Z. I loved every single concert.

Again like last year, this year has gone by so so quickly. So much has changed for the better and I love it. Things, can only get better. I have met some amazing people who will definitely be in my life for a while I hope and who I shall definitely be in touch with

So far as next year is concerned, things can only get better.

* Work – I have no idea what to expect with work but I am hoping to either get a new job or complete a years service at my current job

* Holidays – I am hoping to have a big holiday next year as well as a lot of weekend getaways. I want to enjoy my time away from work, even if it is for a weekend!

Apart from the above I don’t really have any other aspirations for next year. I’m certain this will change throughout the year so let’s see
