I can’t believe it, my first week at the new job is already over.

I have learnt quite a bit about the processes as well as the company I work for during this week.

The work here is conveyancing only, and the work I do is admin related for now but then moving into being a case handler.

The firm, so to say, deals with coveyancing in volume and I mean volume. The team I have joined is really nice, we all get along quite well and I’m glad I can always ask someone for help when I need it. I hope it stays this way!

And android, I feel your pain about filing. So so boring but you have to do it I guess :)

  • Glad it’s gone well. The first week at any job is nerve wracking; finding your feet, getting to know workmates, who does what, blah blah blah!

Like you said, hope it continues and you get put on cases ASAP. They didn’t hire you for admin.

  • Thanks Gaurav :) Well it was scary but I got over it as the people were welcoming.

As for the admin, it’ll always remain, even a solicitor has to do some admin now and then so it’s all part of learning. I may as well perfect the way I do things so that I remember for later.

  • Glad you’ve had a great first week Pooni.

As for filing… hmmph… I just get the MD’s PA to do mine :p

  • Thank you Michael.

There aren’t any PA’s here, everyone just deals with their own admin, it can be time consuming but if you keep on top of it all then it isn’t a problem :P

  • Its good to hear you’ve settled in nicely. Sounds like a good group of people you get to work with. Hope you carry on enjoying your work and continue to progress! x

  • Thank you AW. They all seem to be easy going, I hope it does too xx

  • Great to hear that you’re settling in alright. Shame about the filing! :)

  • Thank you :D it’s just part of the job hey!
