I can’t believe it, my holiday is already over. It seems like it was only yesterday that I was going!! Time has flown by!

Where do I start? The friendly people? the beautiful sun shining all day everyday? It was definitely the holiday I needed to relax a little and enjoy myself!

We stayed at the Bel Air Hotel in Hammamet which is about an hour and a half away from the Monastir airport. The flight was only 3 hours long, although it did feel like a lot longer because of how early we flew, we were awake from 6am both there and back!! The hotel was ok, all we needed was a decent place to sleep with a good shower and pool and it was!

The people – we were told by our reliable rep on the way to our hotel that the people in Tunisia are very friendly. She definitely wasn’t wrong there. It was mostly full of men but they were very very friendly, sometimes bordering on creepy but it was all good!! The languages spoken are 1. Arabic, 2. French and 3. English. So many of them knew Spanish too or a little so I could sorta speak back.

The weather – it rained for about 2 minutes one evening and that’s it. Everyday the sun was out in full beam until late evening. It was mega hot, all the time!!

The food – this was one of the not so good parts of the holiday. I think I ate enough pizza and pasta to last me a lifetime! Most restaurants were Italian! The chicken also tasted like it was a tad overcooked. We were told that leather produced here was very good, they probably thought the same applied for the chicken lol.

The nightlife – like Spain, the clubs weren’t busy until after 12.30am. The one night that we did go out, we got in free to every club. Normally entrance was 15 dinars which is roughly £7.50. We refused to pay to get in and walked away and whilst walking away the owner’s let us in free :) We met some very cool Northerner’s from our hotel and ended up partying with them. We went to Havana first which was a Spanish influenced bar. The music was very good! Then we headed to Nero which had a mix of r n b and dance. The last place we went to was Oasis, which had hard core dance/trance music and way too many guys!!
