Skins

I have had 4oD on my computer for some time now but have rarely used it. I think the last time I properly used it was to watch Big Brother clips in the summer. For those of you that don’t know, 4oD is the service from Channel 4 that lets you watch TV shows and even download entire series free of charge - legally! The variety of shows available is astounding and I am surprised it hadn’t crossed my mind every time I turn on my computer and see the little logo load up in the corner of my screen!

Well, as soon as I clicked the logo the first thing I saw was the hit TV show Skins. I have heard endless stories about how action packed each episode is and how it’s addictive! So.. I decided to watch the first episode, the first entire episode I have ever watched of this show.

Just as rumour had it, the show was excellent! The opening sequences were enough to have me hooked for the rest of the episode. Of course after watching something new for the first time I wanted to know what was happening next, so I sat through and watched episode 2 as well! At 45 minutes each without adverts, the show manages to pack a lot in! Dealing with things like drugs, sex and alcohol in the first episode and focusing more on eating disorders in the second one. It seems pretty real because the issues are ones I have witnessed from being at college and university!

This will definitely have it’s place on my ‘to-be-watched’ list.

I haven’t really been addicted to any TV series lately.. The last ones I remember were ‘The OC’ back in 2005, ‘Lost’ in 2006 and ‘Prison Break’ in 2007. So, it seems Skins might be (at least for now) my new TV fad that I must watch till I can watch no more.. Or until something better comes along to replace it

On a separate note, I have been away from the site for the last few days because there seems to be a lot going on at the moment behind the scenes. Moving house, new job, assignments and even some background maintenance of the site has been keeping these fingers very busy. I will do my best to keep you posted on what is going on behind the scenes at locksleynet.com HQ (otherwise known as my house )

Also, I will be updating my Japanese section as I do recall it was supposed to be one post per week right? Look out for some forthcoming videos too. I will be having a try at some Vlogs, oh yes that means me in front of a camera! Beware of my dodgy editing ’skills’
