Watched the news lately?

After the news of the China earthquake and maybe a murder mystery or two, there just seems to be one story that has been in the headlines for the whole of this year so far. Who will be the next president of the USA?

The first woman president? Or, the first black president? Those are the two characteristics that seem to stand out whenever the pair are mentioned. Does that affect how they will run the country though? Surely not?

I don’t think that people should vote for Clinton just because she is a woman, the same way I don’t think people should vote for Obama just because he is black.. Yet, that is the main thing the news hypes whenever there is a report. Maybe it’s just the stories that make the news over here in the UK, the gossip obsessed public here love to hear about any controversy between people.

There is a lot of pressure on ladies these days to look a certain way and have a good figure.. But some people take their obsession with their body too far!

Take a look at the woman in these pictures. She is a prime example of someone who really must have wanted a small waist and well, I guess she must have bought one? I have no idea how someone would go about looking like this, but surely it can’t be natural? Right?

I’d definitely say don’t try any harder than exercise and make-up if you must. But, I definitely wouldn’t recommend any person to go to these extremes to try and get their ‘dream body’, or to impress anyone.. Check out the rest of her freaky pics below..

It is crazy to think how much we use wood without even thinking about it. Every leaflet, every letter, most doors, tables and houses make some use of wood. The rate we are killing off the worlds natural rainforests is quite alarming too!

Some of the countries presently being deprived of forest land are Brazil (with the largest and most diverse forest land), Nigeria (having the highest rate of deforestation, losing 50% of forest land in just the last 5 years alone) and Ethiopia (which has lost a staggering 98% of it’s forest land in the last 50 years!).

I couldn’t for one minute blame these countries, as they are probably not the main consumers of the wood they extract. It’s the developed countries that are to blame. It’s all well and good now that the forests are nearly all gone so we need to be more green and think about recycling / energy conservation, but it is too late for that.

Is it just me, or are these people absolutely MAD!

They are having dinner in the sky! Suspended from a crane at heights of up to 160ft! I am not exactly scared of heights (since I like to travel and get on a plane all the time). But, when it comes to hanging from a crane at a dinner table with up to 22 other people there eating too - I think it’s fair to make an exception! This is possibly the funniest thing I have seen on Facebook! Who comes up with these ideas? Panic buy carrots?! Well, let’s see if there is a shortage on May 15th 2008!

Basically, a few nights ago, when I was very very drunk, I came up with the idea that everybody should go out and panic buy a certain product on a specific day.

I’m not quite sure what the reason behind this is is, other than the fact that a global shortage of carrots would be quite a laugh.

So, what I’m asking everybody to do, is on the 15th May, 2008 go out and buy a load of carrots. IF EVERYBODY DOES THIS, WE CAN MAKE THIS GLOBAL SHORTAGE OF CARROTS HAPPEN!

Wow, can you believe how close the plane in this video was to crashing!? Those people’s hearts must have skipped a beat when the plane wing scraped on the runway!

I am no fan of plane turbulence, but especially when my plane is coming in to land I’d like it to be as smooth as possible!

Anyone feel the earthquake? Struck approximately 00:58 on 27/02/08. As yet I am not sure how widespread it was but since Nottingham is nowhere near any tectonic plates, my guess is that it hit the whole of the UK.

It wasn’t that intense, but I heard it coming a good 20 seconds before I felt it. At first I thought someone was kicking the hell out of a bin or something outside until I felt the house rocking!

The tremor lasted about maybe 10 seconds and was like a train passing beneath my feet. It came faintly, then louder, then I felt it, then it left loudly, and faded again. Probably just a typical tremor but not usual for Nottingham at all.

Well, the picture above shows a cow about to be slaughtered by some kind of spinning sawblade. Look at that hanging cow. It was apparently in the same position moments before.

Well the Indian government is proposing taking legal action against the mass factory farming of cows! I eat beef occasionally and yes, that pic is pretty sickening. I also eat chicken though and I am sure a picture of them being slaughtered would also be pretty disturbing.
