You have probably already heard the announcement of the new iPhone?  Well, it’s nearly here.  On 11 July 2008 at a time currently unknown to me stores around the world will simultaneously release the new iPhone for all of us to play with.  Lets face it, thats the reason you get an iPhone right?  To play with?  not to make phone calls surely?

After some time to think about it, I have decided I will be joining the mass of people outside my nearest o2 store waiting to get my hands on the gadget!

After reading more into the features of the phone, I think the only thing that actually sells it for me is the iPod feature.  I know that there are numerous phones out there that can play music, I currently own one of them.  However, I always use iTunes on my PC to play my music and when it comes to putting them onto a Walkman or other phone things start to get nasty.

I have a Sony Ericsson phone and a Sony Walkman at the moment and they both need replacing.  I can’t stand Sony’s music software whether it’s for their phones or their MP3 players.  Just drives me crazy .  Especially when I know that Sony gadgets are usually better than other brand’s!

So, with Apple using the same software it will make thing easier.  Plus the obvious benefit of not needing to carry 2 devices with me makes it all the better!

Anyone else considering joining the mass and getting an iPhone?
