Fat people vs Skinny people

Fat people vs Skinny people

Ever wondered how they do it?

Well, which do you associate more with? Fat, or skinny? Ever wondered how the other goes about their daily life? How did they get so fat? How did they get so skinny?

Some people eat lots and don’t exercise at all and remain slim.. Some do the opposite and still remain fat. How? It’s one of those mysteries that I personally don’t think I know the answer to.

I am under the impression that if any, I’d fit with the skinnier category.. But I feel that with the amount that I eat, I’d have a hard time maintaining this weight if I didn’t go to the gym frequently..  I eat healthy meals maybe at breakfast (if I wake up in time) and dinner (because I am not cooking it).  Apart from that, my diet varies from day to day.  I might have a healthy week and eat sandwiches with lots of salad, fruit, water etc.  Then I might have a very bad week and eat greasy fries and burgers, or just not eat at all!  Or worse, snack my way through the day with Twix and Snickers back to back with the odd Paprika flavoured Walker’s Max!

Some people on the other hand just don’t mind. They like to remain on the extremes of either skinny or fat. I prefer ‘healthy’. That is no excuse for skinny or fat but I’d prefer, choice permitting, to not be ashamed of the way my body looks if I have a choice.

lets not forget the majority of people out there who are in the ‘average’ bracket.  That weight that isn’t fat and it’s not skinny.  Its almost uncategorized, so we’ll just say average.  There is nothing wrong with fitting into this category of people.  It’s safe, there are no medical conditions associated with ‘average’.  You are not ashamed of your figure either because you know that most people around you are the same in size.

It’s only personal preference that I’d try and veer to the slimmer side of average.  Reason?  Well, my reason is the inevitable fact that most people put on weight with age.  Why?  I don’t know, but it remains a fact for the majority of us so I just want to hold it off for a little bit longer.

By the way I really don’t want to look like either of the two pictures in this post.  Not endorsing either ‘image’ at all

Now I know some people are going to think ‘vain’ but is it really vain to want to be happy with your weight or your figure? I think vain is more when you want people to notice or pay particular attention to you. Oh well, that is my opinion only.

Where would you categorise yourself?

[disclaimer] I am in no way making any judgement or attack on people who suffer any condition which makes them or contributes to them being either fat or skinny against their wish.

  1. Hmm well I wouldn’t wanna be ‘fat’ because I know that there are SO many medical conditions associated with being ‘fat.’ I don’t really know where I fit in but I hope it ain’t fat! I think ‘average’ is a nice in betweener term BUT what is average when there are so many big people out there?! I definitely eat loads n don’t seem to exercise…but that shall soon change! Gotta watch the baby weight! There’s nothing wrong with being healthy n lookin good….that’s the aim! As long as u dnt look too muscly like ur on the ‘roids n that lol

  2. That is another difficult issue.. Where do you draw the line on having a good body vs having ‘too much’ muscle?

Also, like you said ‘average’ is a little hard to define since the whole population are getting more overweight each year..
