As a big consumer of all things food, I was excited to hear that the Nottingham Food and Drink Festival is back for 2011!  The festival has been extended from the previously planned 4 days – to a whopping 12 days!

That means 12 days of food food food between Wednesday 29 June – Sunday 10 July!  With special menus split into four price categories: under £10, £11-£15, £16-£25 and £25+.

Check out the list of events here!

We Are Nottingham, the event organiser, has arranged a great line up of venues this year including unique food and drink experiences at bars and restaurants.  Why not try a blind cocktail tasting session at The Living Room, or tea tasting at Lee Rosy’s?  There is even a Mad Hatter’s tea party at Homemade!  All of this right here in Nottingham!

(Multiple dates available, see here to choose dates)

I think I should definitely check out the cocktail making because that’ll be sure to impress at the next house party I go to!  One event that looks jaw dropping to me, is the Sushi Making Masterclass at Chino Latino!  As you should know, I love sushi! :-)

Maybe I’ll brush up on my culinary skills and open up a Jamaican food stall for next year eh?  Maybe..

In addition, fans of local produce will be able to indulge themselves at a special Food and Drink Festival market, taking place in Old Market Square from Thursday 30 June to Sunday 3 July. With in excess of 70 stalls, and including a demonstration area, Festival organisers are promising the largest food and drink market that Nottingham city centre has ever seen.

Once I’ve investigated the festival for myself, I’ll be sure to get another post up on here with all the tasty details!  What are you interested in trying?
