Since I’ve been downloading a lot more apps lately, I figured I should start talking about them. I’m sure I’m not the only one who is trigger happy with app downloads so feel free to recommend any new ones you may have come across!
I’m planning ahead for my holiday which is something I don’t usually do.. I’ve downloaded two apps by mTrip, a travel guide app company. The apps are going to act as my guide when I visit Shanghai and Beijing this summer. So far I am very impressed!
I am NOT an organised control freak, so this is going to be used as a loose guide to what I might want to do and see. I just couldn’t bear to “go all the way to Shanghai and Beijing and not see [fill in the blank]“. You know what I mean?
Choose your preferences and then launch the ‘mTrip Genius’ planner

This is the home screen of the app where you can check for attractions nearby

View the itinerary that has been planned out for your trip! It includes walking time between places and a good amount of time to walk around and check out the attractions. It also gives you a couple of photos and a brief description to get you excited.

IF, in the unlikely event there is something you really would prefer not to visit – you can edit it, delete it and pick something else! Great for those who may have already visited the destination, or have special preference to see something.

Maps are pre-loaded so will not require internet connection! This is an absolute lifesaver – no roaming charges!!

There’s even a currency converter which I am SURE will come in handy!

There is a pretty impressive list of other destinations as well, so I am sure I will be using this selection of apps to assist me on my next trip!

Like I said before – this is just as a guide for my holiday. I feel like in Beijing there are some obvious things to see, like Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall of China – but I have no idea about Shanghai!

Great post on mTrip, thanks!
