Life without an iPhone

My iPhone is no longer with us and just to further confirm this, I am no longer on the iPhone tariff with o2.  I have gone onto a ‘sim only’ deal with all the same benefits of the iPhone tariff at half the price and minus the iPhone..

So how have I managed life without it?  Well, with major boredom!

I hate not having a proper up-to-date smart phone.  The one I am using is a Sony Ericsson phone I got back in 2006/7 and it is awful!!

I am now considering my options about which phone to get next.  There is the Google Nexus One, with a price tag of $529..  Or I could get the current iPhone 3GS on the ‘non contract’ tariff for £449 ($700)..  Nexus One looks like the winner in that battle!  But I did LOVE the iPhone when I had it..  Damn, why did it have to break!?

One thing I will say – Apple is so likely to replace the 3GS with a newer model this summer, I feel almost like if I buy a 3GS now, it’s only gonna become ‘old’ in June when Apple announces it’s replacement.  Whereas Google has only just released the Nexus so it’s more likely to be around a little longer?  Maybe Google will have more investment in features and add-ons for their new device?

So, I need to decide..  I think I’ll wait about a month or so before splashing out.  But when I do – I’ll be buying a GOOD CASE!!  I don’t think I could handle another accident with such an expensive device :’(
