I think the picture above looks pretty damn cool. That is, before I realised exactly what it was.

After first looking at it I had thought it was some kind of temporary body art. But after looking at the rest of the photos below showing the process involved I was shocked! Some people go to what I would consider too far to make their bodies a work of ‘art’.

Body art? Yes, kinda.

This is a new craze in the tattoo world. It has been around for some time, but it is starting to become more common in the tattoo parlours.

Just look how this is done! (By the way some of the pictures are pretty gruesome)

Scarification is the name given to this. It can be done in the form of cutting the skin, or branding. Both of which I imagine would be pretty painful! :shock:
